Pat Sagar is the Council Member representing Ward 1. Pat was appointed to Council in January 1999, and retained the position when elected in November 1999. Pat has won re-election three times, and her current term expires on December 31, 2015. Pat has recently announced that she will be a candidate in November for re-election.
Pat currently serves as Chairperson of the Safety Committee and is a member of the Streets Committee and the Utilities Committee.
Pat and her husband Denny have been married for 47 years, having lived in Pataskala for 45 years. They have two children, Lori and Tom. Lori and her husband Harold live in Pataskala with their two children, Megan and Alex. Lori is a special education teacher at New Albany High School. Tom lives in Clintonville and is an Information Security Technician for Ohio Health Information Services. Tom and his financee, Misty, are planning a November 2011 wedding. Denny is retired from the Kroger Company following 40 years of employment. He now spends his free time singing in various groups throughout the greater Columbus area. Pat retired in June of 2010 after 23 years as the Licking Heights Local School District's Food Service Director. Denny and Pat are members of the Hosanna Lutheran Church located in Pataskala.
